Auto Racing Club are the guests on “This Week in ASA Racing”
with host Kevin Ramsell. Chris
Wimmer finished fifth in the 2011 ASA Midwest Tour point standings
with three top-five and six top-ten finishes. He will be on to talk
about his outlook for 2012, his career, State Park Speedway (which
his family owns), and upcoming wedding. Pam Schliske is the President
of the Wyoming Auto Racing Club (WARC). WARC operates Big Country
Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Cheyenne, WY. Pam will be on to
talk about their season opener and outlook for the 2012 season at
the 1/5-mile asphalt oval. The only asphalt oval track in Wyoming.

The
daughter of a racing legend and a former ASA National Tour competitor
are tonight’s guests on “This Week in ASA Racing”
Radio Show with Kevin Ramsell. Kari Shear-Carlson is entering her
third season as the Public Relations Director for the ASA Midwest
Tour. She is also the daughter of the late Joe Shear, who is honored
in the ASAMT’s first event of the season this Sunday at Madison
International Speedway in Oregon, WI. Kari will be on talk about
the fourth annual Joe Shear Classic and give some insights to one
of the most successful Midwest short track drivers who passed away
in 1998. We will also catch up with Dennis Lampman. The “Gentle
Giant” was a fixture in the ASA National Tour with his burnt
orange #9 Ford Thunderbird during the 1990’s and early 2000’s.
Lampman will talk about how his passion for racing, where he has
been and his future plans.

Motor Speedway are this week’s guests on “This Week in
ASA Racing.” Mike
Eames is entering his second season as the General Manager of Rocky
Mountain Raceways, an ASA Member Track in West Valley City, UT.
The facility will be entering its 16th season of racing action on
Saturday, May 5th. Eames will be on to highlight the season along
with their plan on introducing auto racing to the younger generation.
Wayne Brevik is the Promoter of Marshfield Motor Speedway, an ASA
Member Track in Marshfield, WI. They will open up their 2012 season
this Saturday night with a full racing program. Brevik will highlight
their season and discuss his new role at the Speedway.

racing program alive at Orange Show Speedway on tonight’s “This
Week in ASA Racing” radio show. The show will debut at 7:00pm
Eastern on RaceTalkRadio.com. Andy Daddario, who has been involved
in short track racing in Southern California for over 30 years,
is putting forth an effort to keep the racing action going at Orange
Show Speedway, an ASA Member Track in San Bernardino, CA, this season.
He will be on to give us an update on his progress, along with some
of the hurdles that he is jumping over to keep the cars racing around
the quarter-mile asphalt oval. With his full-time background in
the entertainment industry, Daddario will also give his thoughts

Wood recently collected his second consecutive ASA Midwest Truck
Tour championship at their recent banquet. He will be on to talk
about his championship season and running against his brother John
in the series. He will also give his thoughts on why the ASA Midwest
Truck Tour is a great series for young Midwest drivers. Ron Barfield
is the Promoter of Dillon Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track in
Dillon, SC. He will be on to preview his 2012 season and talk about
their unique marketing plans at the 4/10-mile asphalt oval.

Crook, Promoter of Lonesome Pine Raceway, an ASA Member Track in
Coeburn, VA, will be on to preview their 40th season of racing at
the 3/8-mile asphalt oval. He will share some of their promotional
plans, new divisions, and introduce a new member of the LPR team.
Social Media will be part of a roundtable discussion with two young
Public Relations Directors from an ASA Member Track and ASA Sanctioned
Series. Bradley Carpenter of the ISCARS DASH Touring Series sanctioned
by ASA and Hunter Thomas of Dillon Motor Speedway, an ASA Member
Track in Dillon, SC, will be on to give their thoughts and insight
about social media. They will share some of their ideas of how they
are using social media to promote their respective track and series.
These college students will also talk about where they see the use
of social media in the future.
